Abstract

The study aims to examine the Iraqi Foreign Ministry use of digital media in communicating with the Iraqi community abroad, with the aim of achieving the Ministry's activities of social responsibility towards its citizens; It investigates the most used forms of communication among the Iraqi community members in Jordan in interacting with the Iraqi Foreign Ministry, and determines the reasons for the Iraqis' dependence on digital media in order to communicate with the Iraqi Ministry. Also, it measures the degree of their satisfaction with the services provided by the Iraqi Ministry and the extent to which they feel the ministry is commitment to its social responsibility towards them. It is a descriptive study; it uses the survey method and the questionnaire tool applying to a sample of 383 Iraqis. It is based on the theory of social responsibility.
Main results:
1- (97.7%) of the Iraqis in Jordan use digital applications, which indicates a high degree of using digital media.
2. The most used applications by members of the Iraqi community in Jordan in communicating with the Iraqi Foreign Ministry is the “Facebook”, then “WhatsApp and Instagram”.
3. "The Like" is the most interactive communication form among the members of the Iraqi community in Jordan in interacting with the digital media of the Iraqi Foreign Ministry.
